Having been involved in this art since the early 1990's, having learned from a variety of instructors, I have come to the realization that this is an amazing - but one that lacks structure. So, after I had earned my black belt, I became the first American BJJ Black Belt to set up a structured method for the learning and practice of this art.
Since those days, I have refined my methodology. It has become more efficient - and with a major emphasis on LESS (leverage, enjoyment, structure and safety)! So, if you're interested in learning this amazing art from a structured perspective - one that has a major emphasis on safety and enjoyment, then this course is for you!
I designed this course with two students in mind:
• The beginner-level student.
• The experienced student whose background did not involve or emphasize "fundamentals."
This course will teach you a handful of fundamentals, as well as several basic escaping, controlling and submission techniques. It will also teach you some basic sweeps.
Now, while these techniques may not feel electrifying and exhilarating, they do get the job done! I KNOW because I have used them on numerous competitive black belts who have traveled internationally to train with me!
